Rotlicht Festival is looking for artists that use photography as their medium, in which analog processes and elements play a decisive role, as well as expanding it with digital techniques into hybrid forms.
As an analog photography festival, we will not accept any submissions that have been created with digital means only.We encourage you to describe the analog element in your short written concept.
A submission fee of 15 € applies for each entry.
We at Rotlicht Festival work as a non-profit team and with the help of our partners and sponsors, as well as your submission, can support analog photography in 2022 and make this festival possible!

Submission:
Submit a PDF with a short concept (max.1000 characters including spaces) and 1-10 images. Resolution: max. 10MB

Submission: Individuals as well as groups may submit. The submission fee is per project.

There is no restriction on age, gender, or nationality.

The selected 20 winners will be exhibited by us in our main exhibition at the Atelierhaus der Bildenden Künste Wien. From the 20 analog positions, 10 will be selected to be additionally presented with an image in an outdoor exhibition in front of the Museumsquartier for the duration of the festival.

The project with the best jury rating will additionally be presented in the following year with a solo exhibition at the Photon Ljubljana Gallery.
